Have an Existing Roger X Receiver? It Could be Compatible With Roger Direct & Marvel

The new Naida Marvel is great news for people with severe to profound hearing loss. Complete connectivity, hands-free phone calls, the myCall-To-Text app and the Roger Direct system all add up to better hearing, ease of use and convenience for people who really need it. Many people with severe to profound hearing loss may already be using a Phonak Roger system. For some with Roger X receivers, I may have good news, they may well be compatible with the new Roger Direct system and the Naida Marvel. It could be as simple as programming the receiver into the Naida Marvel. Let me explain.

Naida Marvel from Phonak

Roger X Receiver

There are many people out there already using PhonakRoger systems and many would have Roger X Receivers connected to their existing hearing aids. Some of these Roger receivers are compatible with the new Roger Direct system in the Naida Marvel. As long as the serial number of the Roger X Receiver is 1744xxxx or higher, it will be able to be installed into Marvel HIs.

Phonak X Receiver

That means no extra expense or buying new kit. Users will be able to have their Roger Receiver installed into the Naida Marvel and use their existing kit. It's a simple exercise that can be undertaken by a hearing care professional. Phonak introduced a small programmer that looks like a charging pad.

When you lay the Roger receiver onto the programmer it transfers the software from the receiver into the programmer. It is then a simple case of transferring the software from the programmer to the Naida Marvel.
